Hello! My name is Stephanie Tang and I’m originally from Irvine in Southern California. Some of my favorite typical SoCal activities are hanging out near the beach, going to Disneyland, and eating açaí bowls. I’m currently a student at Princeton University, where I am studying to become a financial engineering major. I’m also a filmmaker who specializes in documentary and non-fiction storytelling. I absolutely love hearing people’s stories and learning about individuals who come from backgrounds different from my own. Although I, myself, do not identify with the disabled community, I wanted to join in on AADI to educate myself on what it means to be a supportive and productive ally. Being involved in the project has also allowed me to take a deeper look into my Asian background, examining the cultural structures that have profoundly impacted individuals with both visible and invisible disabilities.
