Hello! My name is Shruti Rajkumar and I’m originally from Connecticut. Currently, I’m currently a senior at Emerson College where I study journalism. My goal is to become a social justice reporter with a focus on the intersection of race and disability. Aside from journalism, I love doing advocacy work with my communities, and have done a lot of it during my time in college. I joined AADI so I could engage in this work and form a sense of community and collective care. As a disabled Asian American, I never had a community of people who shared those specific identities as me, and I never imagined that I ever would, which is why I’m so grateful to have and be a part of AADI.
